Irene S. Davis, Ph.D., PT<\/a>, FAPTA<\/a>, is a Harvard Medical School<\/a> Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation<\/a>. She is also the founder and Executive Director of the Spaulding National Running Center<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Davis is an Emeritus Professor of Physical Therapy<\/a> at the University of Delaware<\/a>, where she has worked for over 20 years. Her study focuses on the interaction between lower extremity anatomy<\/a>, mechanics, and musculoskeletal<\/a> damage. She has made significant contributions to the field of retraining incorrect gait patterns<\/a> in both walking and running. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her research has been supported by the Department of Defense<\/a>, the Army Research Office<\/a>, and the National Institutes of Health<\/a>. Dr. Davis has presented over 300 national and international speeches and produced over 110 articles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is a member of the American Society of Biomechanics<\/a> and its Past President. She is also a Catherine Worthingham Fellow<\/a> of the American Physical Therapy Association and a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine<\/a>. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
