Dr. Marty Makary is a Johns Hopkins University<\/a> surgeon and public policy scholar. He is the author of two New York Times<\/a> bestselling books, Unaccountable<\/a> and The Price We Pay<\/a>, and writes for The Washington Post<\/a> and The Wall Street Journal<\/a>. Dr. Makary was elected to the National Academy of Medicine<\/a> and worked as a leader in the World Health Organization Patient Safety Program<\/a>. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Works<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Dr. Makary is the director of Islet Transplant Surgery<\/a> at Johns Hopkins<\/a>.
